Der überwiegende Teil des Programms besteht jedoch aus eigenem Material mit dem Stempel: moderner Blues mit dezent rockigen Anleihen.

This is the seventh release by the band (including the one with Luther Tucker), and it continues the tradition of hard-driving, imaginative, modern blues music from California.

It´s a good band album, though, with the new boys doing little to affect the well established blues-fusion sound of the group, and with several cover versions demonstrating that the band´s oft-praised interpretative skills are still well to the fore. So, if you´ve enjoyed ´em in the past, I see no reason why you should be disappointed now.

With the tracks themselves full of busy, unexpected chord changes, heavily accented drumming, overblown harmonics and jazzy, nasal sounding vocals, this could only be a Ford Blues Band record. It won´t be to everyone´s taste, but I must admit to finding them to be a relieable and highly distinctive outfit. This CD is well up to par.

Here Were Go! Features the Fords with two harmonica players... It´s a particulary satisfying and exilarating arrangement. I feel, one which gives the band an extremely raw, riffling frontline turning numbers such as Lowell Fulson´s "Tramp" into classics of Brillo-Pad Funk and lending throwaways like " Fannie Mae" , a heavyweight emotional punch. Nice guitar work too.
